Name Stealers and Belly Pictures
First The Name Stealer. As you know we have had the name Tabitha picked out for a girl for quite some time. I liked this name and liked it even more that it was Chris’ suggestion as a girl name. You also know that we have been kicking around the idea of Ricki for a girls name as well. We have been on the fence…did we want to stick to Tabitha Lorelei, or go with the Ricki Lorelei, or did we want all the names Tabitha Ricki Lorelei…the decision was made for us by The Name Stealer.
I really and truly get to call her a The Name Stealer, because she is someone I know and have talked repeatedly about the names we had chosen. Lo and behold when she has her little girl what does she name her…Tabytha. Sure the spelling is different, but the name was stolen right out from under us. Chris tried to make me feel better by stating we were probably going to go with the Ricki anyhoo…I told him that was not the point. People you know shouldn’t steal names from you, it’s bad etiquette. If it were someone we didn’t know or knew distantly…I would probably fume a little bit & be done and feel secure that if we wanted the name Tabitha we could still use it. So now, Tabitha Lorelei is officially off the the table and if we have a little girl her name will be Ricki Lorelei.

I must say that I absolutely love your pictures. I love the baby bumpage!!! :)I love the name Tabitha Lorelei! Do it anyways! Who cares, you thought of it first anyways!

I keep popping in here every so often to see if the baby has arrived. Its coming up so soon!! I cant believe you didnt find out. Its driving me nuts. hehe Your belly is just beautiful. I love the very last picture. Im sorry someone stole your name. That really stinks. Im so very happy for you and Chris. I cant think of two more deserving people. That sucks that someone stole the name… and worse that they butchered it by throwing in a “y”. I cannot stand when folks do that. Spell it right or pick a different name.There is a girl on the Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls (Bloomington, IN) and her name is Ricki. Her derby name is Badd Mudda Trucka!
