Our Trip to the Shriners Hospital

So we went to St. Louis Sunday and had a blast. The drive there was nice (GW slept most of the way), we found our hotel only getting lost once, and had dinner at Fuddrucker’s (which I had never had before and was pretty tasty). After dinner we went back to the hotel and the boys swam for about an hour and loved every stinkin’ minute of it. There were other people at the pool and he had lots of fun yelling at them and trying to get them to play with him.

Overall, he slept better than I thought he would. He got up about 3-4 times. TD said he slept really good too.  Me, not so much.

We got the Shriners’ Hopital, and we were there maybe an hour. They were not real busy and really on top of things. They said GW‘s feet look great and they could we had been doing his stretching exercises…Yippy! So last time we either miss heard them or they didn’t say it, but we actually are just decreasing the number of hours a day he is in his shoes from 23 to 18.  Most of those 18 are sleeping hours (nap & bedtime), we also get extra hours when we are in the car. Still, way better than 23 hours. He had a great time yesterday with his shoes off for like 3 hours and in cute shoes (this shoe-a-holic is loving that). He didn’t fuss too much about putting the shoes back on, he was fussing because he was tired.

Speaking of tired…he went to bed at 7p and slept allllllllllllll night long…..ahhhhh. This momma is feeling much more refreshed.

Saturday, we went out to TD‘s Aunt Mary’s house to see his cousin and her little boy.  Now his mommy & daddy are tall people, so that makes for a tall baby…he is 6 months old and is already as long as Tobin. WOW!
