1. Do you apologize to your kids?
Yes, but only when it is deserved.  This usually occurs after a day of whining and crying and begging and fussing and I have reached the end of my rope and time-outs aren’t working for GW or me and I explode and yell. I will apologize immediately afterward, and try to explain myself, which is kinda hard to do with a toddler, who has no idea what just happened, but he knows what “I am so sorry” means and forgives me with hugs and kisses. Luckily, this does not happen often.

2. What color are your nails right now?
Au Natural. I keep my toes up pretty good in the spring/summer/fall. You know? Open-toe shoe season. My fingers not-so-much. I hate when my nails chip and look sloppy, which happens within the first 2 hours after I paint them, so I just don’t. I do try to keep them in decent shape since people see my hands a lot at work.

3. When you were growing up, how difficult was it for you to stay home from school sick? (As in, did you have to vomit or just say “I don’t feel good”.)
Growing up our mom and dad gave one hooky day a school year. I always tried to save mine until the weather was at it’s nicest…closer to the end of the school year and ALWAYS on a Friday. Every now and then we tried to sneak in a hooky day, but most often were thwarted by a parental. “I feel sick to my stomach. (much harder to prove than a fever)” P’s: “How bad is it? Think we need to go to the doctor? You know, if you stay home sick today you don’t get to do _________?” Also, id we got sick on a Friday….ALL our weekend plans were cancelled. No overnight, playing outside, nothing. We had to stay inside all weekend and close to or in our beds, that cut down on any faux Friday sick days. They knew the value of a hooky day and gave a free and clear day.

4. When is the last time you bought a new comforter for your bed?
You can buy new comforters? We have so many blankets, quilts, comforters…any changes in looks to a room I can make happen with the change in spread from the closet.

5. Favorite website(s)?
I love E!Online. According to my tabs pages, WordPress and my bank are next in line. I have Dictionary.com and Picnik saved under “Fun Stuff.”
