Teaching Our Kids the Importance of Voting! Go Vote!

Posted on Updated on

I took my son with me to start teaching him that he has a responsibility to make change in our country.

Conversation with my kid today about voting:

Me: we are going to vote today

GW: what is that?

Me: voting means we get to make choices

GW: what are we voting for?

Me: we are voting for a president today

GW: what is that?

Me: well, a president is supposed to look out for us, protect us, and be the best version of what it means to be an American.

GW: ok

TD says: GW keeps referring to the sticker on his jacket as “going to get the president”.
