Five (10) Question Friday – Friday the 13th Edition

Posted on Updated on

So, it appears the Blogger platform has suffered a massive meltdown.  Therefore, my usual Five Question Friday over at Five Crooked Halos is on hiatus this week.

Thanks to suggestions from @TheDomesticExec and @MomTo2PoshDivas and in honor of today’s date, this week’s questions all have to do with Friday the 13th.  Check out my answers and then either copy/paste to your blog or leave your answers below!

What is your favorite scary movie?

Who is your favorite movie villain?

Do you believe in superstitions?

Do you know anyone born on a Friday the 13th?

Have you ever seen any of the Friday the 13th movies?

What is your favorite scary movie?

Anything ZOMBIE! I love zombie movies. Good ones, bad ones…doesn’t matter I will watch until the very end. Shaun of the Dead & 28 Days Later are my two favorite. I will watch them over and over again. Although I will NOT watch Zombie Strippers.

Who is your favorite movie villain?

I adore John Travolta as the bad guy. In fact I almost always prefer him when he plays a bad guy, like Face/Off or Broken Arrow. Oh and Jeremy Irons any time he plays a bad guy. His voice just makes any bad guy seem that much more menacing.

Do you believe in superstitions?

No not really.  Not the regular ones any way. I do have one with TBF, any time she travels (and I know about it) I say “Don’t Die.” It started out as a silly one-time thing to say, but then it kinda stuck and now I freak if I don’t get to say it to her.

Do you know anyone born on a Friday the 13th?

Yep. I have a friend born on October 13th. Well, not sure she was born on a Friday, but her birthday falls on Friday’s some years.

Have you ever seen any of the Friday the 13th movies?

Are those the ones with Freddy or Micheal?

1. Tube socks, calf socks, crew, ankle, none? (From@ThisDaddys_Blog)

I prefer none if possible, ankle if I have, toe socks just for fun

2. Was your childs (children’s) name a mutual decision or was it a debate? If you don’t have children, do you plan on giving your spouse a say, or do you have a name you MUST have, regardless if your other half likes it or not?! (From @momtodh)

Mutual. We found GW‘s  at a family event. TD‘s grandfather had this end table by his chair filled with papers and pictures. We were looking through his memorabilia when we found a little funeral program with GW‘s name.  The gentlemen was a distant relative and we loved the idea of a family name (his middle name is a family name as well) and LOVED the name in general. We never waived on the choice for a boys name.

3. What is your favorite type of weather? (From@TheSpunkyDiva)

Warm without the suffocation of humidity, Southern Indiana – humid all summer long. It fact it has already started.

4. If left to your own devices, what time would you wake up every day? (From Sandy at “Pardon My Dust“)

Between 8a & 10a. Right now 6:30a…..blech

5. Have you bought your cemetery plots yet? (From Pam at “Troop Petrie)

Nope.

Conversation with my Kid:

  • GW packs up his backpack with a coloring book and his pen
GW: “Mommy, I go to work. Give me kisses.” Tilts his head up, lips puckered for a kiss

TM: “Have a wonderful day at work.” Give him his kiss

    – He trots off towards the dining room. I follow him quietly. He pulls out his book and pen, then he starts writing.
GW: (quietly, talking to himself) “I filling out my apple-cation (application)”
    – He packs his book & pen back in his bag. I quickly make my way back to the office to wait for him. He comes through the door.
GW: “Mommy, I home. I missed you.”
